The image of Sanharib Malki getting entangled with Mike van Duinen’s laces during a match between Roda JC and The Hague in the Eredivisie last Sunday is truly unprecedented in my long career. I find it incredible but true and never tire of watching it over and over. Remarkably, Malki was not suspended at the end of the incident.
