The Maghreb appears bleak this evening! None of the three countries involved, Tunisia, Morocco, and Algeria, managed to advance past the first round of this African Cup of Nations. A real disappointment! It’s a significant setback for these three countries, all of which had the ambition to at least progress beyond the first round.
Algeria, which was eliminated from the CAN on Sunday, thought it had saved its honor by leading by two goals to zero against Ivory Coast, but Didier Drogba’s teammates didn’t give up! They came back to score! Algeria opened the scoring with S. Feghouli (64th sp) and E. Soudani (70th). Ivory Coast returned through the inevitable Didier Drogba (77th) D. Mesbah (81st csc).
