Bashar Hawamdeh criticizes Amotta and reveals reasons for wanting to leave as manager of the Jordan national team
Bashar Hawamdeh, the president of Al-Wehdat Jordanian Club, made a surprising statement regarding Hussein Amotta, the coach of the Jordanian national team, stripping him of the achievement made by the Jordanian Falcons.
In his remarks to the press, he stated, “The achievement in the Asian Cup was not made by Amotta or anyone else, but it was achieved thanks to the support of Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, three high-level professional players, in addition to the players’ enthusiasm and the support of the fans.”
He attributed the reason for the coach’s desire to leave the Jordanian national team to his fear of failure and the inability to repeat the same achievement.
In a related context, Hawamdeh stated that Amotta’s personality does not suit the Jordanian players, and his departure would be beneficial for Jordanian football.
Continuing his criticism of the Moroccan coach, he said, “I am not impressed by Hussein Amotta’s statements, and frankly, I do not like his coaching style,” adding, “Adnan Hamad (former national team coach) is one of the founders of the team and has played a significant role in the achievements of the Jordanian Falcons.”
