Williams was heavily linked with a summer move to Barcelona but the transfer never materialized. Despite the intense transfer speculation, Williams committed to Athletic Bilbao.
Reports emerging suggest Barcelona are no longer interested in the acquisition of the Spanish-Ghanaian winger.
The situation leaves Premier League duo of Chelsea and Arsenal in race, as they continue to pursue for the services of Williams.
Additionally, Bayern Munich are reported to be interested in the skillful Ghanaian winger.
The winger has managed two goals and provided five assists in 18 appearances for Athletic Bilbao across competitions.
Williams’ current contract with Athletic Bilbao is expected to in the summer of 2027
