FC Barcelona are set to include a special clause in Ansu Fati’s loan deal to AS Monaco.
As widely reported, the Spanish forward of Guinea-Bissau will sign for the French Ligue 1 outfit in the summer transfer window.
Fati will sign a one-year loan deal with AS Monaco, but the French club will have the chance to sign him permanently at the end of the 2025/26 football season.
New information gathered from sources indicates that while Barcelona will approve the move, the club will include a special clause in the loan deal.
This will allow them to retain a percentage of any future sale of the player.
Fati, 22, decided to leave FC Barcelona in January after enduring a tough spell with the club, where he struggled for playing time.
Although he continued to work hard in training, his situation remained unchanged.
The talented forward only played six matches for FC Barcelona in the Spanish La Liga en route to winning the league title.
In the UEFA Champions League, too, Ansu Fati only made four appearances for Barcelona as the club reached the semi-final stage.
At AS Monaco, he is hoping to be a regular in the first team.
