Spanish giants, FC Barcelona are still interested in signing Spanish-Ghanaian attacker Nico Williams.
The club was heavily linked with a move to sign the younger brother of Inaki Williams last summer.
However, no formal deal was presented to Athletic Club to poach Nico Williams, as he eventually signed a new contract to extend his stay at the club.
While it appeared Barcelona had moved on, it has come to light that the club is still interested in signing the youngster.
It is reported that FC Barcelona are keen on bringing in reinforcements in the summer transfer window to bolster the attack of the team.
Manager Hansi Flick has been presented with the option of signing Liverpool’s Luis Diaz has turned it down largely due to his age.
Hansi Flick prefers to work with youngsters and reportedly wants the club to pursue the signing of Nico Williams instead.
As a result, sources are reporting that FC Barcelona will renew their interest in the talented youngster at the end of the 2024/25 football season.
