Barcelona set Karim Adeyemi medical date

Barcelona are moving quickly to complete Karim Adeyemi’s transfer, with medical tests reportedly scheduled for July 15 and his presentation planned for the following day.

The Spanish champions have already reached an agreement with Borussia Dortmund for a deal worth €22 million plus €9 million in add-ons, making the German winger their second signing of the summer.

Adeyemi’s wish to join Camp Nou helped speed up the process, while head coach Hansi Flick also pushed for the move after previously working with him in the Germany setup. The 24-year-old is seen as a dynamic addition who can bring pace, direct running, and end product to Barcelona’s attack.

Adeyemi’s path to this moment has been steady. He joined Dortmund in June 2022 from Red Bull Salzburg for a reported €30 million plus add-ons and signed a contract through June 2027.

Since then, he has grown into an important attacking option, including a Champions League hat-trick in Dortmund’s 7-1 win over Celtic on 1 October 2024. He also recorded a top speed of 36.3 km/h in the 2023/24 group stage, showing why Barcelona moved fast to secure him.
