South African youngster Relebohile Mofokeng is attracting interest from FC Barcelona as the club expands its scouting efforts across Africa.
According to reports from Soccer Laduma, Barcelona scouts have traveled to South Africa to monitor the 20-year-old’s progress with Orlando Pirates and have made inquiries about his potential transfer.
Mofokeng has been making waves this season, contributing four goals and seven assists in 17 appearances for the Pirates.
He made his senior debut for the South African national team, Bafana Bafana, in a match against South Sudan during the summer.
Known for his quick feet and pace, Mofokeng primarily plays as a right-footed winger on the left flank, showcasing his ability to create scoring opportunities.
In addition to Barcelona, other clubs such as Levante and Rangers are also keeping tabs on Mofokeng’s development.
He has previously spent time on trial with Wolverhampton Wanderers in England, further highlighting his rising profile in the football world.
