Barcelona push to sign Club Brugge starlet Jesse Bisiwu

Barcelona have reportedly stepped up their pursuit of highly rated winger Jesse Bisiwu, opening talks with Club Brugge over a potential transfer for the 18-year-old talent.

According to Spanish outlet Diario Sport, Barça scouting chief Joao Amaral recently met Club Brugge representatives in Switzerland to explore a deal for Bisiwu, who currently features for the Belgian side’s reserve and U19 teams. Amaral and sporting director Deco are said to have already held discussions with the youngster’s entourage, underlining how serious the Catalan club are about bringing him to Spain.

Bisiwu, a Belgian-Ghanaian winger, enjoyed an impressive 2025/26 UEFA Youth League campaign, making eight appearances, scoring three goals and providing one assist. He also started in Club Brugge U19’s defeat to Real Madrid U19 in the Youth League final, further raising his profile on the European stage.

The youngster began his football journey at Oud-Heverlee Leuven, where he spent six years from 2014 to 2020 before joining Club Brugge’s academy. With his current contract set to expire next year and renewal talks reportedly on hold, Barcelona sense an opportunity to move early for one of Belgium’s most exciting prospects.
