Barcelona open to Jules Kounde sale
Barcelona are reportedly ready to listen to offers for Jules Kounde this summer, with several Premier League heavyweights monitoring the defender’s situation closely.
Mundo Deportivo claims Liverpool, Manchester City and Chelsea have all shown interest in the Frenchman, who is under contract at Camp Nou until 2030. Any move, however, would likely require a significant fee, as the Catalan club will only consider “lucrative” proposals before agreeing to part with him.
Barcelona believe they are reasonably protected at right-back even if Kounde leaves, thanks to the presence of Eric Garcia and Xavi Espart in the squad. On top of that, the club are working to turn Joao Cancelo’s current loan from Al-Hilal into a permanent deal, which would further strengthen their options on the flank. The Blaugrana are also tracking Juventus full-back Andrea Cambiaso as another potential addition.
The willingness to cash in on Kounde is tied to Barcelona’s wider transfer strategy, as they seek funds for a top-level centre-back and a new striker. A big-money sale could be key to unlocking those ambitious plans in the upcoming window.
