Barcelona lead Feyenoord at half-time after Raphinha and Adeyemi strikes

Barcelona take a two-goal lead into half-time against Feyenoord in the UEFA Champions League league phase, with Raphinha and Karim Adeyemi finding the net during an eventful opening 45 minutes.

Raphinha opened the scoring after being played into the penalty area by Lamine Yamal. The Brazilian winger beat two defenders before going through on goal and finishing from inside the box.

Barcelona continued to control possession in midfield as they looked for openings in the Feyenoord defence. Their short passing kept the ball moving, although they initially struggled to create further clear chances.

Jules Kounde tried his luck from outside the penalty area, but his effort went wide. Dani Olmo also tested the Feyenoord goalkeeper with a long-range attempt, which was saved successfully.

After 15 minutes, Barcelona remained in front and continued to look the more threatening side. Joao Cancelo was involved in the attacking pressure, but one of his efforts from inside the box went narrowly wide.

The visitors eventually doubled their advantage through Adeyemi, who produced an outstanding finish from outside the penalty area. His powerful strike flew into the net to put Barcelona two goals ahead.

Barcelona maintained their dominance in the middle of the pitch without creating a further immediate opening. A foul was awarded to Raphinha in midfield as the half progressed.

At the half-hour mark, Barcelona were still leading and continued to probe for a route through Feyenoord’s defensive line. Their pressure produced another opportunity for Cancelo, whose shot from inside the penalty area struck the left post.

Feyenoord then threatened with a dangerous attempt from Anis Hadj Moussa. He struck the ball firmly, but Barcelona’s goalkeeper reacted well to make the save and keep his side’s two-goal advantage intact.

Barcelona were also awarded a free-kick outside the penalty area. Yamal took responsibility, but his effort passed narrowly wide of the goal.

Raphinha was later caught offside as Barcelona continued to search for a third goal. Despite their attacking intent, Feyenoord remained within reach of reducing the deficit before the interval.

The referee added one minute of stoppage time at the end of the first half. Barcelona went into the break ahead after a period in which they had enjoyed control of possession, created the clearer chances and twice beaten the Feyenoord defence.
