Spanish giants FC Barcelona are reportedly keeping tabs on France-born defender of Congolese descent, Tylel Tati.

The highly-rated Nantes centre-back has emerged as one of the standout young defenders in Ligue 1 this season, earning widespread praise for his composure and defensive intelligence.

Turning 18 in January, Tati has quickly become a key figure in Nantes’ backline, catching the attention of several top European clubs.

Barcelona, in particular, are said to be targeting Tati as part of their plans to recruit a left-footed centre-back next summer.

Alongside Tati, the Catalan club are also monitoring Nico Schlotterbeck and Goncalo Inacio as potential additions to bolster their defence following the departure of Inigo Martinez.

Premier League sides are also keeping tabs on Tati, who is regarded as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from France’s renowned youth system.

For Tati, a move to Barcelona will mark a giant step in his early career, one that could shape his development into becoming a global star in the next few years.
