Barcelona keen on signing Ghana star Thomas Partey on free transfer

Spanish giants Barcelona are plotting a summer move for Ghana international Thomas Partey as he nears expiration of his contract.

The Black Stars midfielder will become a free agent at the end of June, sparking speculations about his future at Premier League giants Arsenal.

Partey has yet to sign a new deal with the Gunners despite expressing desire to stay at the emirates stadium.

According to reports, Barcelona have turn their attention to Partey as they look to strengthen their midfield ahead of the new campaign.

With his contract due to expire on June 30, Barcelona plans to capitalize on this opportunity to sign Partey on a free transfer.

Partey has not ruled out a possible departure but is also open to staying under Mikel Arteta’s guidance.

The Ghana international enjoyed an amazing season with the Gunners, making 52 appearances, scoring four goals and delivering three assists across competitions.
