FC Barcelona attacker, Lamine Yamal has been awarded the 2024 Golden Boy title.
This prestigious accolade, established by the Italian newspaper Tuttosport, recognizes the top European male footballer under the age of 21, with winners determined by a points-based vote among journalists.
Yamal emerged as a key player for Barcelona last season and played a crucial role in Spain’s Euro 2024 victory.
At just 17 years old, the talented attacker, of African descent, contributed one goal and four assists during the tournament, earning him the young player of the tournament award.
Earlier this year, Yamal also claimed the Kopa Trophy, an equivalent honour presented during the 2024 Ballon d’Or event.
So far this season, Yamal has made an impressive impact with six goals and eight assists in 16 appearances across all competitions. He is currently sidelined due to a minor injury.
