Barcelona could earn €12M from Ez Abde transfer

Barcelona could benefit financially if Ez Abde leaves Real Betis this summer, with a transfer potentially bringing in around €12 million for the Catalan club.

Roma have now entered the race for the Morocco winger after a strong 2025/26 season that produced 15 goals and 13 assists in 43 matches.

Abde’s performances have put him back on the radar across Europe, even though a knee ligament injury kept him out of the World Cup. Roma are only at the scouting stage for now, but they view him as a useful attacking option and may test Betis’ resolve later in the window.

Betis are not eager to sell cheaply. They have set a €60 million release clause and see the 24-year-old as an important part of their project. That means any serious move would likely have to match a big valuation before talks can advance.

Barcelona’s interest is indirect but significant. When they sold Abde in 2023, they kept a 20% sell-on clause, so a full-price deal would give them a welcome boost. Premier League clubs are also watching, which could drive the price higher and improve Barcelona’s payout.
