Barcelona B head coach Juliano Belletti has commented on the club’s activity in the ongoing winter transfer window, highlighting the arrival of Hamza Abdelkarim as part of the squad’s reinforcements.
The Catalan giants secured Abdelkarim on loan from Egyptian side Al Ahly until the end of the season, with an option to make the move permanent.
The young midfielder has been registered to play for the reserve side, Barca Athletic.
Speaking to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Belletti stressed that his priority is to foster an environment where new and existing players can thrive.
“My responsibility is to create a daily environment so that everyone feels confident playing here,” he said.
“They are adapting to our style of play, and I am also trying to make them feel comfortable on the pitch.”
Barcelona’s reserve team currently competes in the Spanish fourth tier as it continues its push for development and progression.
