The South African U17 Girls National Team, Bantwana, has commenced preparations for the 2024 COSAFA U17 Girls Championships, scheduled to take place from 4–13 December at the UJ Soweto Campus in Johannesburg.
Head Coach Ntombifuthi Khumalo has selected a diverse squad, blending players with COSAFA Schools Championships experience, former U17 national team members, and athletes from the Hollywoodbets Super League.
We aim to build a strong team for 2025 World Cup qualifiers, said Khumalo.
South Africa is in Group B alongside Malawi, Namibia, and Madagascar.
Their campaign begins on 5 December against Malawi, followed by fixtures against Namibia on 7 December and Madagascar on 9 December.
All matches will be hosted at the UJ Soweto Campus.
