Ballon d’Or stars bring an elite watch collection to London ceremony

The Ballon d’Or ceremony in London on Monday drew worldwide attention, with a high-profile group of nominees competing for the various awards.

While the results, the behaviour of the stars and their reactions dominated the football coverage, the event also attracted interest for a reason beyond the sport itself: the luxury watches worn by some of its leading guests.

A report published by the Facebook account “calf”, which focuses on high-end watches, examined the timepieces seen at the ceremony and provided detailed information about the models and references worn by several prominent attendees.

“Some of the watches seen at the Ballon d’Or ceremony,” the report said. “Football’s most prestigious awards event brought together some of the finest watches from the world of luxury watchmaking, including pieces from Rolex, Richard Mille, Patek Philippe, Hublot, IWC and H. Moser & Cie.”

The watches identified in the report included:

Harry Kane wore a Rolex Cosmograph Daytona made from white gold, with an obsidian dial and ruby-set details. The reference number was 126599TSA.

Ousmane Dembele appeared with a Richard Mille RM 55-01, featuring a white quartz hand-wound TPT movement.

Lamine Yamal wore a Richard Mille RM 67-01, described as having an ultra-thin automatic rose-gold movement.

Singer Burna Boy was seen wearing a Patek Philippe Nautilus Chronograph in rose gold, reference 5980/1R-001.

Former Portugal international Luis Figo chose a Hublot Classic Fusion Chronograph King Gold, reference 521.OX.1181.RX.

Thierry Henry wore a Patek Philippe Nautilus modified from carbon by DiW.

France captain Kylian Mbappe was pictured with a Hublot Classic Fusion Tribute to Yellow Gold, reference 262.VX.1130.RX.MDM.
