Bakery Jatta set to miss Hamburger SV’s upcoming match
Bakery Jatta is expected to miss Hamburger SV’s upcoming match, despite recently making his way back into full team training.
The winger has been working his way toward a comeback, but his current condition is still not enough for competitive action.
According to coach Steffen Polzin, the decision is down to both lacking match fitness and a cautious approach after his return. “He has been training fully with the team again, but we have determined that he is not yet fit enough for the game,” he explained. The staff therefore decided to take a step back and remove Jatta from the immediate selection picture to avoid overloading him too soon.
For the next game, this means Jatta is almost certain to sit out, but the outlook beyond that is positive.
Both the player and the coaching team are optimistic he can be back in contention over the course of next week. With the big Nordderby against Werder Bremen on the horizon, there is growing hope that Jatta will once again be an option and bring his pace and energy back into HSV’s attack.
