Wolves Set to Keep Bakary Sako After Promotion to Championship
Malian international Bakary Sako is set to remain with Wolverhampton Wanderers following the club’s promotion to the English Championship.
Sako, who joined Wolves in 2012, played a pivotal role in helping the team secure their return to the second tier of English football. His performances and positive attitude throughout the season have reportedly convinced the club’s management to keep him as part of their plans going forward.
Despite interest from other clubs, the 26-year-old winger has expressed a strong desire to stay at Molineux and continue his journey with the team.
Speaking to the Express & Star, Wolves manager Kenny Jackett confirmed the club’s intention to retain Sako.
“Sako is a good player who has grown up with the club, and I think he will play with us this season,” said Jackett.
Sako’s combination of pace, skill and experience was instrumental during Wolves’ League One campaign, and he is expected to be a key figure in the Championship as the team looks to build on its recent success.
