Badreddine Abyir: Moroccan goalkeeper joins Ittihad Tanger on free transfer
Moroccan goalkeeper Badreddine Abyir has joined Ittihad Tanger on a free transfer from Hassania, strengthening the Botola Pro Inwi side’s options between the posts. The 27-year-old moves after his contract with the Agadir club came to an end, with the deal confirmed ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Casablanca-born Abyir, who stands at 1.94m and is left-footed, arrives at Ittihad Tanger with a market value of €400,000. His profile adds height and experience to the squad as they prepare for the new league season, with the move keeping him in Morocco’s top flight.
Abyir has spent the last four years progressing through Moroccan clubs to reach his current level. He first made the step up in 2021 when he left CR Bernoussi for Olympique Dcheira, also on a free transfer. A move to Hassania followed in August 2022, where he continued his development in the Botola Pro Inwi.
His latest switch marks the third consecutive free transfer of his professional career, underlining how he has steadily climbed the domestic ladder without commanding a fee. The transfer also maintains Ittihad Tanger’s policy of recruiting experienced domestic players to reinforce key positions.
Abyir, born on 27 August 1998, joins Ittihad Tanger immediately and is available for selection as the club finalises preparations for the upcoming season.
