Arsenal fans have taken to social media to express their frustration with Thomas Partey’s performance in the first half of Wednesday’s match against Manchester United.
The Gunners recorded a 2-0 win against the Red Devils with second-half goals from Jurrien Timber and William Saliba.
In the course of the game, Partey missed a free header in the early stages of the game and his overall display was deemed lacklustre by many supporters.
Fans took to X formerly Twitter to vent their disappointment, with one user, Monty, stating: “What a boring half of football. LHS has been non-existent which is no surprise at all. Partey is back to his old useless self.”
Another fan, Streezo, added: “People who think Thomas Partey is still a top player are hilarious.”
SV, a fellow supporter, expressed a preference for Jorginho, saying: “I feel so much safer with Jorginho on the pitch than Partey.”
Mike, a disgruntled fan, questioned Mikel Arteta’s decision to build his team around Partey, saying: “Does Partey have what Arteta wants to base all his values on this guy? It’s absolutely sickening. He is useless.”
Meanwhile, Thomas Partey is expected to feature for the Gunners when they travel to play Fulham at Craven Cottage on Saturday.
