Baaqi Adelayo starts new chapter at CD St. Amalia after San Roque Lepe departure

Nigeria winger Baaqi Adelayo has joined CD St. Amalia from San Roque Lepe on a free transfer, signing a contract that runs until 30 June 2027.

The 25-year-old, who plays primarily on the left wing, completed the move on 18 August 2026. Adelayo becomes a CD St. Amalia player after leaving San Roque Lepe, with no transfer fee involved in the switch.

Adelayo’s profile is defined by his versatility in attack. He is listed as a left winger and is comfortable using either foot, giving him the option to operate from the left side while also playing with either side of his body. He is 1.79m tall.

The move follows a period in which Adelayo featured across several Spanish competitions. He made 18 appearances in Segunda Federacion matches, split between Group II and Group III, and added four appearances in the Copa Federation and two in the promotion competition for Segunda Federacion.

In total, he recorded 24 appearances and 875 minutes across those competitions, scoring once. His goal came in the Copa Federation, where he played 189 minutes over four matches.

Adelayo’s contract at CD St. Amalia is in place for the 2026-27 campaign and extends through the end of June 2027. The agreement gives the Nigerian attacker a new club after his spell with San Roque Lepe and establishes the next stage of his playing career in Spain.

His arrival also provides a clear point of continuity in terms of position, with Adelayo joining as a specialist left winger rather than being moved into an unfamiliar area of the pitch. His ability to use both feet is recorded as a central part of his playing profile.
