Azrack Mahamat Moves from Bulgaria to Greece with Platanias Signing
Chadian international midfielder Azrack Mahamat has left the Bulgarian league to join Greek side Platanias, signing a two-year contract with the club.
Mahamat, 26, recently parted ways with Lokomotiv Sofia, where he had been playing since 2013. The midfielder’s move marks a return to Greek football, where he previously had experience.
Born in Créteil, France, Mahamat developed through the youth system at AJ Auxerre before featuring for Espanyol Barcelona’s reserve team and Sweden’s Halmstads. His diverse career has now brought him to Platanias, who continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the new season.
The Greek club has also recently secured signings of Yaya Banana from Sochaux and Ousmane Coulibaly from Brest, reflecting an ambitious recruitment drive.
Mahamat’s arrival is expected to add depth and experience to Platanias’s midfield as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
