Aziz Koudhai switches to CS Hammam-Lif in season-long Esperance loan

Tunisia defender Aziz Koudhai has joined CS Hammam-Lif from Esperance on loan, completing a move that keeps the 21-year-old in the Tunisian Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season.

The centre-back joined CS Hammam-Lif on 5 August 2026, with the loan running until 30 June 2027. He will then return to Esperance at the end of the agreement. Both clubs compete in Tunisia’s top flight.

Koudhai made seven senior appearances for Esperance during the 2025-26 campaign. He played five times in Ligue 1, accumulating 206 minutes, and featured twice in the Tunisian Cup, where he scored once in 95 minutes.

His earlier involvement with the club’s senior side came after he moved up from Esperance’s under-21 team on 1 July 2025. The transfer to the first team followed his development within the club structure and preceded his temporary switch to CS Hammam-Lif.

Koudhai was part of the Esperance squad that won the Tunisian league title in the 2024-25 season. He also collected two Tunisian Cup winners’ medals, with Esperance lifting the trophy in both 2024-25 and 2025-26.

At 1.89m, Koudhai offers CS Hammam-Lif a young presence in central defence. His move also gives him the opportunity to remain in the same domestic division while taking on a new role away from Esperance for the coming campaign.

The defender’s current market value is €25,000, while his recorded agreement with Esperance extends through 30 June 2027. That arrangement means the loan period and his existing link with the Tunisian champions conclude on the same date.

Koudhai’s arrival strengthens CS Hammam-Lif’s defensive options for the new season, while Esperance retain his registration beyond the temporary spell. The Tunisia international club defender has now completed his loan move to CS Hammam-Lif.
