Ayyoub Bouaddi on the brink of Manchester City move after Lille agree €100m deal

Ayyoub Bouaddi is close to completing a move from Lille to Manchester City after the two clubs reached an agreement over a deal that could eventually be worth €100m, including add-ons.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano announced the development on social media platform X, stating: “Ayyoub Bouaddi will move from Lille to Manchester City… the deal is done.”

Romano added that an agreement had been reached between the clubs and that the overall value of the transfer would reach €100m once potential additional payments were included.

The deal still needs to be formally completed, but Lille have given Manchester City the green light to proceed with the signing of the Morocco midfielder. Bouaddi has already agreed personal terms with the Premier League club and is now expected to join their project.

“Ayyoub Bouaddi to Manchester City, here we go! Deal agreed club to club,” a report shared by Romano stated. “Fee to reach €100m package with add-ons, as Fabrice Hawkins reports. Green light from Lille to the sale. Bouaddi agreed terms with City in July and now set to join the MCFC project.”

Romano also wrote: “Manchester City have received the green light from Lille to complete the signing of the Moroccan star.”

He concluded: “Bouaddi had already reached an agreement on the personal terms of his contract with Manchester City last July, and he is now on his way to join the club’s project.”

The agreement means Bouaddi has taken a decisive step towards becoming a Manchester City player during the current summer transfer window. While the transfer has not yet been described as formally completed, the club-to-club deal and the player’s agreement over his contract leave the move close to its conclusion.

Lille’s approval is the latest key development in the negotiations. With the French club authorising the sale, Manchester City can now move forward with the final stages of the transfer.

The €100m figure includes add-ons rather than representing an entirely guaranteed fee. That package reflects the agreed structure between Manchester City and Lille, according to Romano.

Bouaddi’s personal terms were settled in July, meaning the remaining progress has centred on the agreement between the two clubs and Lille’s permission to complete the sale. The Moroccan midfielder is now set to continue his career with Manchester City once the formalities of the transfer have been finalised.
