Ayoub Boucheta: Moroccan left-back joins Hassania on free transfer from Wydad AC

Moroccan defender Ayoub Boucheta has joined Hassania d’Agadir on a free transfer from Wydad AC, signing a deal that runs until 30 June 2028.

The 32-year-old left-back moves across the Botola Pro Inwi after his contract with Wydad ended, giving Hassania an experienced option on the left side of their defence. The Casablanca-born player is left-footed, stands at 1.71m and joins with a current market value of around €500,000.

Boucheta arrived at Wydad in January 2024 from SCC Mohammedia for a reported €93,000 fee, and now switches clubs again after 18 months in Casablanca. His move marks the latest step in a career spent entirely in Moroccan football, featuring spells with TAS Casablanca, EJSC, RAC Casablanca, Berrechid, AS Sale and Kasba Tadla.

Across league and cup competitions, Boucheta has clocked up more than 150 senior appearances, including 137 outings in the Botola Pro Inwi with three goals and 15 assists. He also brings continental experience, having played in both the CAF Confederation Cup and the Club World Cup.

Boucheta’s most notable honour to date is winning the Moroccan Cup in 2018-19 with TAS Casablanca, adding silverware to a career built largely outside the country’s biggest clubs until his move to Wydad. His consistency and versatility down the left flank have made him a regular wherever he has played.

Hassania have now secured Boucheta on a contract through the 2027-28 season after his free transfer from Wydad AC.
