Aymen Assab: Monaco eye move for PSG teen midfielder

Monaco are being linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain U19 central midfielder Aymen Assab.

The 17-year-old, who can operate in central midfield, is currently on the books of PSG’s U19 side in France’s National U19 – Group A, but a switch to Ligue 1 with Monaco has been mooted, with the probability of any deal at this stage listed only as “?”.

Assab, born on 18 July 2008 in Clichy, holds dual French and Moroccan nationality and is part of the Paris Saint-Germain U19 set-up, where he is also registered as a youth international for the club’s age-group side. There is no public record of a contract start date or expiry date with PSG, raising the possibility that he could become a free agent if no professional terms are agreed, a factor which is likely to fuel transfer speculation.

His current market value is recorded as “None” on specialist site Transfermarkt, reflecting that he has yet to sign a senior professional contract or establish a transfer valuation in the open market. Nonetheless, his role in central midfield for PSG’s U19 team marks him out as one of the prospects being tracked by clubs looking to recruit early at youth level.

No official fee, contract length or personal terms have been reported, and there is no confirmed probability beyond the “?” indicator against the rumour. There are also no verified details of his recent match-by-match performances, including opponents, dates, scorelines or individual displays, at this time.

With Monaco renowned for giving young players a pathway into first-team football, any move – whether as a free agent or for a future fee – would represent a significant step up for Assab and could prove a pivotal moment in shaping his senior career and international prospects for either France or Morocco.
