Ayman Sellouf: Dutch-Moroccan winger signs for Vitesse after spell without club

Dutch-Moroccan winger Ayman Sellouf has joined Vitesse, ending a short spell without a club and returning to the Netherlands on a one-year deal. The 24-year-old left-footer, who was born in Nijmegen and can operate across the attack but primarily from the left, has signed a contract running until 30 June 2027.

Sellouf arrives in Arnhem as a free agent after leaving Canadian side Cavalry FC in January 2026 and spending the following months unattached. His move strengthens Vitesse’s options in wide areas as they prepare for the upcoming Keuken Kampioen Divisie campaign.

The winger has built up senior experience in several countries, with more than 60 Canadian Premier League appearances and 11 goals to his name, as well as games in Bulgaria’s efbet Liga with Krumovgrad. During his time in Canada, across spells with Pacific FC, a loan at Vancouver FC and then Cavalry FC, he added goals and assists in both league play and the Canadian Championship.

Before moving abroad, Sellouf came through the ranks at NEC Nijmegen, progressing from the youth teams to the first team and later representing Utrecht’s under-21 side in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie. Standing at 1.77m and naturally left-footed, he returns to Dutch football after three years away.

Vitesse have given Sellouf the number 21 shirt as he begins the latest chapter of a career that has taken him from Nijmegen to Canada and Bulgaria and now back to the Dutch second tier.
