Aurelien Tchouameni shot leaves young Racing Santander fan in tears

Aurelien Tchouameni apologised to a young Racing Santander supporter in an unfortunate incident during Real Madrid’s La Liga match on Sunday.

The midfielder advanced towards the edge of Racing Santander’s penalty area in the 50th minute before unleashing a powerful shot. The effort went wide of the goal but struck a child in the face in the stands.

Television footage showed the boy attempting to avoid the ball, but he was unable to get out of its path and immediately began crying heavily. Several minutes later, the broadcast cameras returned to the child and showed a visible mark on his face from the impact.

The incident prompted comments from beIN Sports commentator Hassan Al Aidaroos, who referred sarcastically to a previous incident involving Tchouameni and Real Madrid team-mate Federico Valverde.

“Tchouameni showed him no mercy, as he did with Valverde last season,” Al Aidaroos said.

The commentator was referring to the well-known altercation between Tchouameni and the Uruguay international during the previous season, which resulted in Valverde being taken to hospital.

Al Aidaroos also said Tchouameni should look for the child after the match to offer comfort following the shock.

A few minutes later, the commentator called for greater protection for children in the stands after another powerful attempt, this time from Diomande, went into the crowd and struck another child.

Real Madrid’s schedule lists a Champions League fixture against AEK Athens on 04 November 2026, followed by a La Liga match against Malaga on 07 November 2026. Racing Santander are also listed for a La Liga fixture on 07 November 2026.
