Speaking to the Cameroonian press, the 24-year-old shared heartfelt sentiments about his connection to the country, which he affectionately refers to as “home.”
“I have already been to Cameroon several times, and people may not know it. I have been here almost 10 times, so I feel at home because it is always a pleasure to come back,” Tchouaméni said.
“We will be able to continue to develop many projects, and what is happening here confirms to me that I am on the right path.
These are my origins, these are my roots, and as I said, I always enjoy coming back here. I do not forget that I am also Cameroonian.”
The 2024 UEFA European Champion with Real Madrid emphasized that his frequent visits to Cameroon underscore the importance he places on honoring his heritage while inspiring positive change within the community.

Tchouaméni was born in Rouen, France, and grew up in Bordeaux, where he began his professional football career.
Despite his rise to international stardom, he remains deeply connected to his ancestral roots.
His parents hail from Bana, a region located in Cameroon’s Haut-Nkam department.
