Torino are reported to be weighing up a move for Eintracht Frankfurt centre-back Aurèle Amenda, with the Swiss-Cameroonian defender linked with a switch from the Bundesliga to Serie A.

Data from transfer specialists Transfermarkt lists the probability of a transfer at 27%, with Torino credited with interest as they assess defensive options ahead of a potential reshaping of their back line. Amenda, currently valued at €7.50m, is under contract at Frankfurt but the absence of publicly listed contract expiry details has fuelled speculation over his medium‑term future in Germany and the possibility he could eventually move on or even run down his deal.

The 22-year-old, born in Biel/Bienne on 31 July 2003, has developed a reputation as a tall, imposing centre-back, standing at 1.97m and operating primarily on the right side of central defence. Having progressed through the BSC Young Boys youth ranks from U16 level upwards, he broke through to the first team in Switzerland’s top flight before earning his move to Frankfurt. His path included spells with Young Boys’ U17, U18 and U21 sides before stepping into the senior squad in the Swiss Super League, and then into the Bundesliga with Eintracht.

Amenda’s move to Germany came via a permanent transfer from Young Boys to Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2024, followed by a loan back to Bern that ended later the same year, after which he returned to the Bundesliga club. His market value has fluctuated in recent seasons, peaking at around €9.50m during his Young Boys days before settling at its current €7.50m mark with Frankfurt, a figure likely to shape any negotiations if Torino decide to formalise their interest.

Should the rumoured move materialise, a switch to Torino and Serie A could represent a pivotal step in Amenda’s career, offering a new tactical environment and a fresh platform to enhance his reputation across European football.
