Augustine Ameworlorna swaps Kosovo for Jordanian Pro League club Al-Baqaa

Ghanaian left-back Augustine Ameworlorna has joined Jordanian Pro League side Al-Baqaa from Kosovo club Mitrovica on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old defender completed the move on 4 August 2026, beginning a new chapter in Jordan after two years with Mitrovica. The transfer follows his spell in Kosovo, where he featured as a left-back and established himself in domestic competition.

Ameworlorna’s recent record includes 33 appearances in the Superliga e Kosoves, with 2,800 minutes on the pitch. He also played four times in the Kupa e Kosoves, scoring once.

His move to Al-Baqaa adds another chapter to a career that has included spells with two Kosovo clubs. Ameworlorna joined Mitrovica from KF Trepca 89 in July 2024, also on a free transfer, after making the switch to Trepca 89 in July 2021.

The defender is a left-footed player who stands 1.83m tall and has represented Ghana at club level in Europe before moving to the Jordanian top flight. His arrival gives Al-Baqaa a player with experience of competitive football in Kosovo’s Superliga and domestic cup competitions.

Ameworlorna’s time at Mitrovica included a substantial workload in league football, with more than 2,800 minutes recorded across his appearances. His only recorded goal during the period came in the Kosovo Cup.

Al-Baqaa become his third senior club since his arrival at KF Trepca 89 in 2021. The move also marks his first recorded transfer outside Kosovo, with the defender now continuing his career in Jordan’s professional league.

No contract length has been disclosed for the Ghanaian, who joins Al-Baqaa without a transfer fee. Augustine Ameworlorna’s move from Mitrovica to Al-Baqaa was completed on 4 August 2026.
