Aubin Kouakou: Ivorian-Tunisian Midfielder Linked with Move from Dempo SC to Samaleswari SC
Ivorian-Tunisian midfielder Aubin Kouakou, currently at Indian side Dempo SC, is being linked with a move to fellow Indian club Samaleswari SC as his short-term contract approaches its conclusion.
The 35-year-old defensive midfielder joined Dempo in February 2026 on a deal running only until 31 May 2026, a situation that leaves his future open amid interest from Samaleswari. With his market value currently estimated at around €50,000, the potential switch is expected to be a relatively low-cost piece of business for the suitors as they look to strengthen the spine of their team.
Kouakou, born in Bouafle and standing at 1.82m, has built his game around operating in front of the back line, predominantly using his right foot. His experience in that role is understood to be a key attraction for Samaleswari, who are assessing options in the Indian football landscape ahead of the new campaign.
Having only arrived at Dempo earlier this year, Kouakou’s stay at the club has so far been brief, framed by the expiry date of his current deal. The looming end of that contract is a central factor in the current speculation, with the midfielder free to weigh up his options for the next step in his career.
For now, Kouakou remains on Dempo’s books, but with his contract running only until the end of May, his situation is likely to draw continued attention as Samaleswari consider whether to formalise their interest.
