Saint-Etienne’s Gabonese international Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was named the best player of the month for October in Ligue 1. Scoring two goals in the past month, Aubameyang succeeded Parisian star Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Gabonese striker topped the online poll ahead of Valenciennes’ Foued Kadir and Lyon’s Steed Malbranque. Aubameyang is also a nominee for the title of the best African player of the year. With 8 goals in 13 games this season, he continues to impress as the most precise striker in Ligue 1.
