Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is renowned for his exceptional speed, particularly in his burst of acceleration. However, this has led to a challenge from German sprinter Julian Reus, a prominent figure in the 100 and 200 meters.
Reus expressed his disagreement with the notion that Aubameyang is faster than Usain Bolt, considering it a “blatant myth.” In a challenge issued via Bild, Reus confidently stated, “Over a distance of 30 meters, I will put at least 1 meter to Aubameyang (at the finish).”
The challenge sets the stage for a potential face-off between the two athletes. Only in practice will it be determined whether Julian Reus can indeed outpace the Gabonese striker.
