Adding to Dortmund’s woes, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who had been in impressive form in 2014, had a moment to regret during the match. In an aerial challenge, the Gabonese forward raised his feet and drove his studs into the chest of an opponent. Fortunately for Aubameyang, he escaped being sent off, but it was a close call considering the severity of the action.
With the heavy defeat already weighing on Dortmund, Aubameyang will have the opportunity to redeem himself in the upcoming Champions League match against Zenit St. Petersburg on Tuesday.
