“It’s true that there wasn’t really a match. He quickly let me take off, and that gave me a little confidence. Better for me. But if he didn’t get into the match, it’s because I didn’t let him. Can we take some bearings after a match like this? Yes. I was solid on serve, I varied a lot,” Tsonga remarked.
The victory marked a recovery for Tsonga after his disappointing defeat against Benneteau in Indian Wells, showcasing his resilience and determination on the court.
