Atletico Madrid enter race to sign English-Ivorian defender Marc Guehi

Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid have joined a lists of suitors for England international of Ivory Coast descent Marc Guehi.

Guehi, who came close to joining Liverpool in the summer window from Crystal Palace has yet to sign a new deal for the club, with his current deal expiring six months’ time.

The rock-solid defender has attracted significant interest from European clubs, including Liverpool and Real Madrid, who are keen to add Guehi to their ranks.

According to reports, Atletico Madrid have already made contact with the player’s entourage in an attempt to secure his services at the expense of other clubs.

However, the race is expected to be fierce, with European giants including Bayern, Barcelona, and several Premier League heavyweights also in the hunt for the Englishman.

Atletico Madrid are keen on signing Guehi and expected to go head-to-head with other interested clubs for the signature of the defender.
