Atalanta have turned down an offer from fellow Italian outfit Inter Milan for the acquisition of Nigeria forward Ademola Lookman this summer.
Despite attracting several interest, Lookman is said to be prioritizing a move to Inter Milan in the ongoing transfer window.
In what seems to be a final bid for Lookman, Atalanta have informed Inter Milan about their decision to reject €42m plus €3m add-ons bid for the Nigeria star while, holding firm for €50m.
Atalanta owe 10 per cent of the profit from the sale to his former club RB Leipzig, having purchased him from the Germans in 2022 for €9.35m plus bonuses, forcing the Italian club to demand more.
Lookman has already given Inter a verbal agreement to join Inter Milan. However, the Italian giants will have to meet Atalanta’s asking price to snap the reigning African Footballer of the Year.
The 27-year-old Lookman played 40 club matches during the 2024/25 season, scoring 20 goals and providing 7 assists.
Lookman joined the club in August 2022 and has since established himself as a key member of the team, playing an instrumental role in the club’s UEFA Europa League success in the 2023/24 season.
