Atalanta reject two bids as Chelsea make approach for Honest Ahanor

Chelsea have begun preliminary talks with Atalanta over a possible deal for teenage defender Honest Ahanor, with the Premier League club seeking an agreement before the summer transfer window closes on 1 September.

The 18-year-old has emerged as the latest defensive target for Chelsea after an impressive first season with Atalanta. Reports in Italy, cited by English newspaper Metro, say the Italian club have already turned down two offers from unnamed sides for Ahanor.
