Atalanta manager Ivan Juric says he is uncertain about the future of Nigeria international Ademola Lookman at the club.
Despite reiterating desire to leave the Italian outfit, Lookman has yet to find a club few days to the closure of the summer transfer window.
The Nigeria international has been one of the most sought-after players this summer. However, Atalanta’s price valuation has dissuaded suitors.
Lookman had agreed personal terms with Inter Milan over a possible, but Atalanta’s demand force the club withdraw interest in the forward.
And Juric says it is impossible to predict the future of Lookman, and is not making any forecasts about the player’s future.
“I think we’ll make a few more signings before the window closes. As for Lookman—I have no idea, it’s hard to predict what will happen or whether he’ll stay,” Jurić said.
Lookman has been in the books of Atalanta since 2022, establishing himself as a key member of the team. He was instrumental when the Italian outfit thumped Bayer Leverkusen to annex Europa League two seasons ago.
The Nigeria international eventually emerged as the hero of the match, bagging a hat-trick to propel the club to victory.
Meanwhile, Lookman’s’ current contract with Atalanta is expected to expire in summer 2027.
