Atalanta explore move for Cameroon midfielder Frank Anguissa
Cameroonian central midfielder Frank Anguissa is being linked with a move from Napoli to Serie A rivals Atalanta.
The reported link emerged on 19 August 2026, with Anguissa’s future at Napoli becoming a point of transfer interest despite the player remaining under contract with the club. His current deal is due to expire on 30 June 2027, meaning any move would be more likely to involve a transfer fee rather than a free transfer.
Anguissa, 30, plays in central midfield and currently represents Napoli in Italy’s top flight. A switch to Atalanta would keep him in Serie A, although there has been no confirmation that negotiations have reached an advanced stage.
The Cameroon international is valued at €15m, a figure that could provide a benchmark for discussions if Atalanta decide to pursue the player. Napoli would also need to consider whether to sanction the departure of a midfielder with a further year remaining on his contract.
For now, the proposed move remains a transfer rumour, with Anguissa still a Napoli player and his contract running until the summer of 2027.
