Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has confirmed Nigeria international Ademola Lookman’s availability for the crunch Champions League game against Club Brugge.
The Serie A outfit will play host to Club Brugge on Tuesday night as they seeks to overturn the 2-1 away deficit to progress to the next stage of the Champions League.
Lookman was unavailable for the first leg clash last week due to an injury setback.
Having recovered from injury, the reigning African Footballer of the Year has been drafted into the matchday squad for the crucial game.
“(Ademola) Lookman and (Sead) Kolasinac have recovered, they are called up,”
“In principle, Kolasinac will start, and Lookman might come in during the second half” he said.
Lookman’s return comes as a huge boost for Atalanta, who are desperate to outclass Club Brugge to progress.
The 27-year-old Nigerian forward has four goals and two assist from six Champions League games this season.
In all competitions, he has racked up 14 goals and provided 7 assists from 27 appearances.
