American midfielder with Ghanaian roots, Yunus Musah, is set to join Atalanta BC on loan from AC Milan after the two Serie A clubs reached an agreement.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the deal on social media, revealing that while the agreement includes an option to buy, it will not be mandatory.
“Yunus Musah to Atalanta, here we go! Deal verbally agreed with AC Milan for loan with option to buy not mandatory. Total package worth €25m between loan fee and potential future buy. Musah will sign new deal at Milan before going out on loan,” Romano wrote on X.

Musah, 22, made 33 appearances for AC Milan last season but struggled to nail down a regular starting role.
The loan move offers him the chance for more consistent playing time, which could prove crucial as he aims to build form ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the United States.
