Paris Saint-Germain’s official website has disclosed the final roster, presented by coach Luis Enrique, for tonight’s clash against Toulouse in the “French Super Cup.”
Notably, the Moroccan international Ashraf Hakimi is included.*
Hakimi will be absent from the Moroccan national team’s camp, which commenced yesterday for the second consecutive day.
This comes in light of the firm stance expressed by the national coach, Walid Regragui, regarding players’ adherence to the camp schedule, preparing for the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON).
Efforts by “Hesport” to contact officials within the Moroccan national team to inquire about Hakimi’s situation and the reason behind permitting him to delay joining the “Atlas Lions” camp, despite the rejection of other players, went unanswered.
Paris Saint-Germain’s coach, Luis Enrique, affirmed yesterday in press statements that he would rely on Ashraf Hakimi, despite his commitment to participating in his country’s camp ahead of the AFCON.
Reports suggest that the Parisian team received a positive response from the Royal Moroccan Football Federation yesterday, allowing Hakimi to participate in the French Super Cup before joining the “Atlas Lions” camp.
The Moroccan national team faces Gambia on January 7th as the final preparatory station for the AFCON.
They will then head to Ivory Coast to begin their continental adventure in Group C, playing their first match against Tanzania on January 17th.
The second match will be against the Democratic Republic of Congo on January 21st, concluding the group stage against Zambia on January 24th.
