Ashraf Dari returns to Al Ahly squad as Hussein Ammouta makes key selection decision

Al Ahly manager Hussein Ammouta has included Ashraf Dari in his squad for the first time this season ahead of Tuesday’s Egyptian Premier League meeting with Abu Qir Fertilizers.

The Morocco defender’s selection is the main surprise in Ammouta’s squad and could open the way for Dari to make his first appearance for the club in the coming period.

New signing Tawfik Mohamed has also been named, while Tاهر محمد طاهر and Omar El Saai return to the first-team squad after being left out of recent plans.

Ammouta has omitted Aqtaay Abdullah and Ali Mahmoud for technical reasons.

Al Ahly squad to face Abu Qir Fertilizers:

Goalkeepers: Mohamed El Shenawy, Mostafa Shobeir, Hamza Alaa.

Defenders: Ashraf Dari, Hady Riyad, Karim Fouad, Tawfik Mohamed, Yassin Marei, Mohamed Hany.

Midfielders: Marwan Attia, Akram Tawfik, Emam Ashour, Afsha, Omar El Saai, Ahmed Reda.

Forwards: Monsef Bekrar, Sufian Benjeddah, Hussein El Shahat, Zizo, Achraf Bencharki, Tاهر محمد طاهر.

Al Ahly will be aiming to return to winning ways against Abu Qir Fertilizers after drawing their most recent league match with Al Mokawloon Al Arab.

The Egyptian giants made a strong start to their league campaign, beating El Sharqia Enppi 3-2 before recording a 2-0 victory over ZED. They then defeated Smouha 1-0.

Their latest fixture ended in a 1-1 draw with Al Mokawloon Al Arab, leaving Ammouta’s side looking for a response on Tuesday.

Dari’s inclusion provides the manager with an additional defensive option as Al Ahly prepare for the next stage of the season.
