AS Roma are reportedly eyeing a move for Nottingham Forest winger Callum Hudson-Odoi as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Hudson-Odoi, who is of Ghanaian descent, has enjoyed a solid campaign under Forest manager Nuno Espírito Santo, reigniting interest from clubs across Europe.
The Italian side, led by new sporting director Florent Ghisolfi, is believed to be planning a youthful rebuild of its midfield and attacking options, and Hudson-Odoi has emerged as one of their prime targets.
According to reports in Italy and the UK, Roma could turn their attention to the 24-year-old if their pursuit of teammate Elliot Anderson does not materialise.
Hudson-Odoi, who joined Forest from Chelsea, has added pace and creativity to Forest’s frontline and remains one of the team’s most valuable assets.
Although rivals Napoli and AC Milan are also monitoring the winger, Roma are said to be particularly keen due to his versatility and top-flight experience.
However, Forest are determined to keep hold of Hudson-Odoi and are already working on a contract extension.
The winger currently earns £80,000 per week at the City Ground, and any offer would need to match both financial and career ambitions.
Hudson-Odoi has five goals and two assists in 28 Premier League appearances.
