AS Roma is stepping up their chase for RC Lens midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, with new talks reportedly taking place on July 8, 2025, as the Italian side looks to strengthen its midfield for the upcoming season.
The Giallorossi remain firm in their interest despite RC Lens rejecting their opening bid. The French club has made its stance clear by offering the 24-year-old Moroccan a new deal that runs until 2029, aiming to ward off suitors.
El Aynaoui, born in France and a Moroccan youth international, joined Lens on a four-year contract in June 2023. He opened his scoring account for the club on October 28, 2023, against FC Nantes and has since become one of their standout performers.
In the 2024/25 Ligue 1 campaign, El Aynaoui impressed with eight goals and one assist in 24 matches, prompting a market value that now exceeds €20 million.
While Roma are leading the race, Juventus, AC Milan, and English side Sunderland are also keeping close tabs on his situation.
