AS Monaco v Toulouse FC: Draw priced at 4.47 for Ligue 1 meeting

AS Monaco return from the international break as Ligue 1 McDonald’s leaders and the division’s only unbeaten side, hosting Toulouse FC at Stade Louis II on Saturday, 10 October 2026 at 18:45 GMT.

Nasser Eddy, a consultant for NCI Sport and presenter of the European Champions League on radio Nostalgie, expects a closely contested match, with a draw priced at 4.47 among the key 1xBet selections.

Monaco’s efficient start

AS Monaco have won four of their five league matches, including victories over Paris Saint-Germain, RC Lens and Olympique de Marseille. Their only dropped points came in a draw, leaving Filipe Luis’ side unbeaten after five games.

The Monegasques have not scored more than twice in any match and have recorded more corners than their opponents only once. They have also failed to register more shots than the opposition in all five fixtures, suggesting their strong start has been built on efficiency rather than sustained dominance.

Paris Brunner is joint-top scorer in the league with four goals, although the German forward is suspended and will miss this weekend’s match. Midfielder Lamine Camara has been another key performer. Monaco have received at least one yellow card in every league game.

Denis Zakaria and his team-mates will be seeking another result rather than necessarily a dominant performance against a Toulouse side that has made a difficult start.

Toulouse looking to build on win

Toulouse, who finished ninth last season, have taken one victory, two draws and two defeats from their opening five matches. Their sole win came immediately before the international break, when they beat Le Havre 3-2 at home.

Defensive problems have been a feature, with Toulouse conceding at least twice in four of their five matches and at least once in every game. They have collected eight yellow cards, averaging more than 1.5 per match.

There are more positive signs in attack. Captain Cristian Casseres has supplied four assists in five appearances, the best tally in the competition, while Casper Tengstedt has scored three times across his past two matches. Toulouse have scored at least twice in each of the three games in which they have found the net.

Jens Askou’s side have also enjoyed more possession than their opponents in each of their last three matches.

Recent meetings and player to watch

Monaco have won 14 of the 29 meetings since 2008, compared with five Toulouse victories and 10 draws. However, Toulouse won their two previous visits to Stade Louis II, in June 2023 and February 2024, before losing on their next two trips. The last goalless draw between the sides was on 23 August 2013, also at Stade Louis II.

Toulouse left-back Christ Tape is one of the early-season revelations. He joined from CO Korhogo in the Ivorian Ligue 1 during the last transfer window and scored against Stade Brestois on matchday two.

That form earned him a first Ivory Coast call-up from new manager Herve Renard. Tape made his debut during the international break and started the 0-1 friendly defeat by Cameroon, playing 45 minutes.

The featured selections include over 3.5 total cards at 1.8, a 2-2 correct score at 13, both teams to score two or more at 4.53, a Toulouse corner win at 2.99 and Tengstedt to score at any time at 3.9. Odds may change.
